Not Mannich Reaction, Pictet–Spengler reaction edit

Under the biosynthesis heading on this page there are a number of figure which feature a "Mannich Reaction". Except, not a single one of them is actually a Mannich reaction, every single one of them is a Pictet–Spengler reaction. They are highly related reactions to be sure, but there are still some critical differences. I suggest the misinformation on these diagrams be fixed. 149.155.194.246 (talk) 11:34, 26 March 2014 (UTC) –NatReply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Indole alkaloid. Please take a moment to review my edit. Chemical synthesis of indole alkaloids edit

Hi, I noticed this article focuses a lot on the biosynthesis of indole alkaloids, but there's no mention of artificial synthesis. I think this would be an important section to add. Maybe we could include a section about the synthesis of indole alkaloids that have medicinal applications. For example, there could be information on the synthesis of ajmaline, which was mentioned in the article. Any thoughts? --Chlorinetwist (talk) 05:02, 23 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
