Orphaned references in Indian Oil Corporation

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Indian Oil Corporation's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Hi Bluerasberry: I am sorry but I don't understand why you have taken this page down to work on it. As far as I know, one usually tries to improve an article while it is left up. The way you are doing this means there is no article in place while you complete your edits and restore the page. Perhaps I am missing something? Devopam John Hill Hello. The page was deleted for copyright concerns. A lot of it was copied from the IOC website. I pulled it from deletion, intended to fix it, but then forgot about it.

I just deleted a lot of content then made the page live again. Probably some of what I deleted can be restored, if it is confirmed that it is not illegally copied from https://www.iocl.com/aboutus/profile.aspx. Sorry for the trouble. Blue Rasberry (talk) 16:18, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Please restore the company page 'Indian Oil Corporation Limited'. I represent this company and would like to know the reason for this page being moved. It doesn't appear in search as well. Awaiting a revert from you.

Kendash1987 Hello. The problem is that the text on the page is copyrighted by Indian Oil Company and illegally copied from https://www.iocl.com/aboutus/profile.aspx (see Google's cache copy). Here are some solutions -

1. I just restored the article, but I cut it to a few sentences to remove the illegally copied parts. I have not done deep research on what is stolen and what is newly created, so to be safe, I cut more.
2. If you like, you can research the content, and add back the content which is not owned by Indian Oil.
3. Since you are a representative of Indian Oil, you might have the authority to donate the content of the "about us" page on your website. If you did that, then any or all of the content there could remain on Wikipedia. I could help you with this, but the agreement is at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries.

Kendash1987 You added information from iocl.com/aboutus/profile.aspx again. This is a copyright violation because IOCL owns this text. If IOCL would agree to a legal release of this text then some of it can be used in Wikipedia. Logo error

The logo shows the Indian Oil wordmark in Arial typeface, whereas it should be Helvetica. Kindly correct the logo. Polytope4D (talk) 02:38, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
