Request received to merge articles: Subclinical diabetes into Impaired glucose tolerance; dated: January/2018.
Proposer's Rationale: Subclinical diabetes appears to be the same thing as impaired glucose tolerance, see here and here. The term subclinical diabetes appears to be still used - e.g. [1], [2], but if they are referring to the same thing, then they should be merged. I would however leave this to people who may know more to decide if they are indeed the same and if it should be merged. Discuss here. Hzh (talk) 22:55, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

- The article appears to claim that it precedes prediabetes. At the moment there are a number of articles that seem to be saying similar things, for example Impaired glucose tolerance, Impaired fasting glucose, Prediabetes, and this Subclinical diabetes. There seems to be a few new papers on subclinical diabetes, perhaps the experts have changed the definition. Whether they stay as separate articles or merged, the subject needs someone with a better or up-to-date understanding to clear all this up, otherwise it gets very confusing. - Okay. Definitely more familiar with term impaired glucose tolerance than "subclinical diabetes" or "prediabetes". The last one, however, seems to be most inclusive. My preference is for Impaired glucose tolerance, Impaired fasting glucose and Subclinical diabetes to be merged into Prediabetes, with a query on whether to hyphenate the term or not. However, my internal medicine is rusty and will defer to someone more up to date on this. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 05:43, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
