Requested move edit

Illinois State Route 1Illinois 1 or Illinois Route 1. There seems to be agreement this article's at the wrong title, but it's not so clear-cut as to which the correct one is. The signage uses the first form; the state DOT's website more often uses the latter. (Neither uses the current title at all, it seems.) See also the naming convention discussion on the edge of forever, which is using this as a "case study" of sorts.) (Also worth a look if one has any interest in the common names NC.) Kentucky border edit

Silly person. You don't cross the Wabash to get to Kentucky. I already changed it to the Ohio. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Paul the map guy (talkcontribs) 18:15, 21 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Towns in Southern Illinois aren't usually designated as Villages edit

I realize, like most other articles here pertaining to Illinois, this article is written by someone from Chicago. I know almost every suburb there is incorporated as a village. Such isn't the case in Southern Illinois, where most towns over 1,000 population are incorporated as cities. The blanket use of village in reference to towns along Route 1 in Southern Illinois, should be researched and corrected. A few may be incorporated as villages, but most are not. eelbEelb53 (talk) 00:48, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
