I found this entry partially vandalized (I could detect no POV in the distortions) and generally inadequate. So I rewrote it all. DKleinecke (talk) 01:54, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I added the reference to Azami.

I would like someone to write more about al-Zuhri's intellectual legacy. I have an original research problem. For example, I know al-Zuhri is the most often used source in both Ibn Ishaq and Malik bn Anas. But I know that from my own researches and cannot give a reference.
