1990's edit

Why were there no awards between 1991 and 1998? The article doesn't say.--Jeff79 17:54, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

I've moved this article as it was named erroneously, the Golden Boot is not an RLIF award; it is awarded by Rugby League World Magazine.GordyB 16:46, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

-The RLIF has took control of the award some time ago. http://www.rlif.com/article/8499/rlif-to-award-golden-boot-to-both-male-and-female-international-players-of-the-year 115.146.64.229 (talk) 04:13, 25 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Jarryd Hayne edit

Reverted till a source can be added.--Jeff79 (talk) 01:32, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dual clubs/off season stints edit

How do we feel about players who played for two clubs during their winning year? Ellery Hanley for example played for Balmain during 1988 the year he won the Golden Boot. Should this be referenced? Tigerman2005 (talk) 02:31, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Interesting point. Aren't players who receive this award more being recognised for their international performances during the year? Mattlore (talk) 05:59, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
My understanding is that the award is more for the best player in the world. Some years the Kangaroos only play one game and Australians still win. Tigerman2005 (talk) 03:52, 17 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
