I've moved this article as it was named erroneously, the Golden Boot is not an RLIF award; it is awarded by Rugby League World Magazine.GordyB 16:46, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Dual clubs/off season stints

How do we feel about players who played for two clubs during their winning year? Ellery Hanley for example played for Balmain during 1988 the year he won the Golden Boot. Should this be referenced? Tigerman2005 (talk) 02:31, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

My understanding is that the award is more for the best player in the world. Some years the Kangaroos only play one game and Australians still win. Tigerman2005 (talk) 03:52, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
