Dose this edit help? I really think that IPv6 will be required in the near future to connect everyone, don't you Jec? I personally already have an IP for my internet, an IP for my Cell phone, an IP for my home Phone (VoIP) and my new Accura has a live traffic GPS, I am assuming that it has an IP address for that communications path because the car can E-mail me status updates. If everyone has 5 - 10 IP addresses I don't see how IPv4 will ever scale to that number? PassportDude 03:03, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

No, it doesn't. The issue is not whether the notion of HC makes sense (I hold no opinion on the subject), it's whether it is a sufficiently established concept to belong in an encyclopedia. I may be wrong, but I believe there is no evidence for the existence of such a notion, except for a few articles in the marketing press (which you cite). --Jec 22:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I agree at first glance with a Google search I get many pages of media hype but after digging through this there is also information about all the books in the Vatican Library going on line as hyper-connectivity, and many medical links on hypoconnectivity; in epilepsy, in the autistic brain, the emerging mind, and Seizures. They all relate to a huge quantity of connections (billions of neurons connecting to billions). Should we include these medical links here or should we have a different page for just the medical stuff? PassportDude 01:49, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm not discussing the fact that there is a trend towards pervasive networking of hardware. I do have a problem with this article, which makes it appear as though HC is a standard term in computer science, which it definitely isn't. If you really want to keep this article, you'll need to rewrite it to make it clear where it is used, and provide citations.

So you could for example say (if that's indeed the case) ‘‘HC is a term used in the area of marketing of medical hardware to the Vatican library to describe the increasing tendency of such hardware to become connected through computer networks’’ and provide citatins that show that it is indeed used in the marketing of medical hardware to the Vatican library.--Jec 02:02, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
