Hey, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it should be Alternative Metal rather than Alt Rock. The source essentially said down-tuned Alt Rock. That's not exactly Alt Metal, I understand this, but the album doesn't sound like Alt Rock one bit, and that's absolutely a misrepresentation from a critic that rated the album lower than literally everything else on there.
