Hurricane Norman (1978) Wind speeds and precipitation information

I added information I found about Hurricane Norman's wind speeds to this article - Hurricane Norman reached speeds of 120 MPH on September 3 off the coast of Jalisco, Mexico as well as some precipitation effects of the hurricane - Precipitation in the Rocky Mountains increased as a result of the hurricane. I added this information because I thought it would be useful to know for those looking at history of precipitation effects from hurricanes and other systems. Hurricane Norman (1978) → Hurricane Norman – There is the reason why i wanted to remove the year part of this storm and pointing out that is more prominent than any other Normans even it's not retired:

• It's a Category 4! And probably the most intense based by 1-min winds of any Normans known. I don't know about it's pressure, it might be lower than 2000 version (South Hemisphere one, not the Northern Hemisphere one) or higher than it.
• Last storm known to made landfall in California
• Most damaging (and probably deadliest) of all Normans, with estimated damage of 300 million $s. There could be 21 deaths along with it, but i don't know!
• Other Hurricane Norman of 1982 is a redirect.
• The may-be notable recent incarnations of Normans that are TS such as 2000 and 2012 versions are in average page views (both are 1 and 2, respectively), it's isn't enough. As such i think they are less notable than the first incarnation of any Norman (average pageviews as of July 13, 2017 is 5).

• Oppose given Norman's nine deaths, this isn't even the deadliest incarnation of Norman WP:PRIMARYTOPIC noted that "A topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term." I don't think Norman 78 is much more likely to be sought than the others Normans. This storm isn't particularly important and the only reason it's damage bill was high is because it affect infrastructure and crop rich California. This isn't on WP:WPTC/V or isn't one of the worst Western United States EPAC systems- just in a span of few year, there was Hurricane Kathleen (1976), Hurricane Doreen (1977), Tropical Storm Octave (1983), and Hurricane Ismael (1983). For those who care about page views, the other 3 Norman's get an average of 5, and so does this one so that puts a serious dent into an argument that I presume either the nominator holds of this version of Norman being "more likely than all the other topics combined" to be searched. In terms of wikilinks, this incarnation of Norma only has more wikilinks since it appears on a template, so I don't think it should get much wait. YE ^{Pacific Hurricane} 14:07, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

• Oppose per YE. This doesn't look like it's more sought after than "all the other topics combined". Intensity is usually only a factor if it's particularly extreme (e.g. Cyclone Zoe); you need a TC to have very substantial impacts, usually resulting in the retirement of the name, to become a primary topic. ~ KN2731 {talk} 11:21, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

  Ehh, you're interpreting it as if they say pressure-wind supports 90kt but winds were actually higher. The MWR says that the wind estimate was derived from the pressure, but that was still the operational wind value. That is seemingly a post-season change, which is normal.
