Big Show? edit

I've honestly never seen him do one of The Big Show's taunts. I've seen him do Hulk Hogan and Triple H taunts. Are there any sprite site or screenshots that can prove that he has done a Big Show taunt? SilentRage 05:52, 15 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Had to change some of the move names because they were 100% wrong.

"Hugo Andore"? edit

What's the source for this character's name being "Hugo Andore"? As far as I know, Capcom just changed his name from "Andore" to "Hugo" (for Street Fighter III), that's all? 88.161.129.43 (talk) 16:47, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to know that as well. As far as I know, Capcom never even said anything about Andore being Hugo. They're different characters for me, even though one is obviously inspired by the other. FightingStreet (talk) 16:51, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Supposedly, they were (finally) confirmed to be one and the same in these two books: http://www.futabasha.co.jp/?isbn=4-575-16385-6 and http://tkj.jp/book/book_12085901.html . Both books were released for the 15th anniversary. I'm saying "supposedly" because I haven't checked the books myself, not because I doubt the source. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 17:45, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, Andore is actually being presented as a family name additionally (the palette swaps that appear in the first final fight like Grandpa, Uncle and Jr. all share the name officially, so that much isn't unheard of. Capcom additionally states Hugo comes from Final Fight in the reference material, which makes the name have a bit more sense.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 02:59, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
About "Andore" being used as a family name... Well, I wonder if that's not actually akin to the good old "Mario Brothers" thing. I'm not sure we're _really_ supposed to take the "Andore Jr." and such literally, as if "Andore" was a family name... 88.161.129.43 (talk) 03:36, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well to that end didn't it get confirmed somewhere that Mario and Luigi are really Mario Mario and Luigi Mario? Because I distinctly recall reading that somewhere official--Kung Fu Man (talk) 03:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Really? Wow. Bad example, then, I guess... ^^; Still, I'm not sure we should take these names literally... A bit like we shouldn't assume there are several "Poison", "Roxy", etc, even if we see several of them simultaneously during the game? 88.161.129.43 (talk) 04:05, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well that's not really all that great an example there, given the game does use specifically different names and there is specifically different artwork for the various Andore family members in Final Fight.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:21, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
What I meant is that we probably shouldn't overanalyze, that's all. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 14:52, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Really? As far as I know, Eternal Challenge and All About Capcom actually states that they're separate characters, although they also state that Hugo was in Final Fight as a member of Mad Gear. They've been very dodgy about the issue. JuJube (talk) 03:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
About All About Capcom, as far as I remember (I don't have the book right here), I believe they don't explicitely _state_ that Andore and Hugo are two separate characters, they just have two separate entries for them. Then again, maybe my memory is faulty? I don't know about Eternal Challenge, as I've never read that one. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 03:36, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah it's just separate entires. They have separate entires for Akuma/Shin Akuma and Bison/Final Bison too if memory serves.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 03:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
