I've deleted this. I can't find a good source for the claim and it seems extravagant; I think that if it was true he would have attained a greater rank than Captain. Imo its a missaprehension based on the manual on piloting he wrote during the war.TheLongTone (talk) 14:28, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
