It not nu metal, its rap-rock with electro rock change it now —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.61.6.135 (talk) 20:27, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Right now, rap rock and rap metal are sourced in the infobox. If you want other genres added, you'll have to find reliable sources that claim the band fits those genres. Timmeh (review me) 20:37, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
If you look further up, I have suggested two reliable sources for nu metal, which I think should be suitable for adding. James25402 (talk) 12:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
"Nu Metal" was a term invented for the genre spawned by Linkin Park. It is properly called "AlternaRap". Hollywood Undead does not have a single Alternative song, and their rap is also far more "hardcore" in style then Linkin Park's. Hollywood Undead does Rock or Metal, not Alternative, therefore they cannot be AlternaRap (sometimes known by uninformed children as "Nu Metal"... don't know know the term "Nu Metal" was only used because people were making fun of it?).                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

The term Nu Metal was not spawned by Linkin Park. Korn, RATM, and Slipknot would like a word. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.210.10.253 (talk) 18:00, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Identities

would anyone object to me posting a picture on the page of all of them maskless?

I'm pretty sure they wear masks for a reason... George howard2009 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:06, 1 October 2009 (UTC).
Yes, because the band's "image" is to be with the masks, so a defining picture as should be shown on Wikipedia does have masks. Unless there is a specific section which talks about something like their pre-fame lives, some incident involving not having masks, arrests, etc., which would merit a non-masked picture being shown. Of course, such sections are unlikely to appear since this article is so horribly done at the moment (i.e. not expanded upon).

no they dont wear them in concert —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.73.148.58 (talk) 00:21, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

lol yes they do wtf??                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Posting pictures of them without their masks I think would be fine... But who ever put the names up shouldn't have. HU said they wanteds to keep their names secret and any fan who did happen to stumble upon the information should keep it to themselves... —Preceding unsigned comment added by M4yo (talkcontribs) 14:42, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

It depends on where this is sourced from. It it's from some little-known fan page made by someone who personally knows them and no one has ever seen this website, then yeah. If it's from E! or from their liner notes, then no.                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

a couple of their names are already online (J-dog for sure and i think deuce as well) so apparently they arent trying that incredibly hard to keep thier identities a secret. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.28.79.242 (talk) 03:12, 23 January 2010 (UTC) thats not even right they do wear them in concert, they just have the mouths cut out —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.21.98.136 (talk) 18:50, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Deuce has an article and the others redirect here?

Is there a reason for this? If not I wouldn't mind creating the articles for them.--SKATER Speak. 20:32, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes. Deuce is a solo singer/rapper, and thus he meets the biography of a living person criteria. None of the others do. Deuce is also in another band (though they don't have a Wikipedia) that is notable. A Charlie Scene article was recently created and immediately merged here. Charlie Scene (as far as we know) is not in any other notable bands, nor is he a solo singer. Thus he fails the criteria said above. As do the others. If anyone else in the band were to be in other notable bands, they would be able to have a Wikipedia page. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV 13 other crap 21:15, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah ok, thank you for answering so swiftly.--SKATER Speak. 21:16, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
You're wrong, many band lead singers have their own pages, whether they were in another band or not, because they become known by their own names. Corey Taylor for example was a known human being long before Stone Sour existed. However, Hollywood Undead has only been around as a celebrity for three years, so only people who have heard of the bands would have heard of Charlie Scene, however only people who had heard of SlipKnoT and were big fans of it probably would have heard of COrey Taylor as well, so it's kind of either way as far as page creation.                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

~(>_<)~ Seriosuly i believe the other band members need a page also its not fair yes Deuce is starting solo stuff but without the other members this group would be nothing....i really would like to read about Da Kurlzz hes my favorite though you dont hear him in most of the songs but ya if anyone can start a page about some of the other members please and thank you~(>_<)~BiWiE Jo<3

No. If anyone else does, the article will simply be merged. None of them meet WP:MUSICBIO other than Deuce, therefore, like I previously explained, no one else (especially Da Kurlzz) is notable enough. Maybe if one of them joins another band, but until then, it's not going to happen. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 other crap 21:19, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
What you want is not relevant, and your posts should be signed not usewd little cutesy-ASCII characters =\. Hollywood Undead is an awesome band, but not many people have even heard of them even now, so it is unlikely that people will have heard of them in 20 years (hell, half the people I talk to "haven't even heard of" RealMcCoy, and they were a HELL of a lot more famous then Hollywood Undead is and it's only been like 8 years.                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah but they still have personalities and childhoods and a life. Just because they don't have ANOTHER career doesn't mean they shouldn't have their own page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by M4yo (talkcontribs) 14:45, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Duece is out of H.U. and now is just in 9 Lives. He thought Johnny 3 Tears was a bully and him Charlie Scence, and J3T had differnet perspectives on tings, so he's out —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.157.92.209 (talk) 23:32, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Deuce has had people sorting out his page and would like for his name to link back to his page. found here. Deuce. If someone could sort that out, (as I can't edit) that would be great. :)

@Dudemoaningonlydeucehasapage Everybody has personalities/childhoods etc. should we make you a page while we're at it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by STEPHEN9LIV3S (talkcontribs) 20:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm not buying it.. A lot of the other bands i listen too have artists that have their own pages. It is just because they aren't famous enough to get one T_T. Besides, i wouldn't be surprised if Deuce made his own page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jake Undead (talkcontribs) 15:42, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Semiprotection.

I kind of felt bad since the most of the contributions are from IP's, but I guess the good ones will create accounts.--SKATER Speak. 19:45, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Not really, if all the good edits are from IPs and the bad ones are from users, then making the page only editable to users is pretty stupid. If it says "You must create an account" to do this, most of the time people will go, "Wow, how dumb," and not waste their time commenting or doing whatever they were going to do. Of course, in the case of Wikipedia, it actually makes sense to have accounts on the site, but that doesn't mean people are going to spend the time creating one though. I only created one originally 'cause I wanted the edits to be attributed to me.                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

People should get out of denial that Deuce has left the group, goto http://site.amoctone.com/hollywoodundead/news and read the Kerrang article / interview, towards the end when they talk about the UK tour, and Johnny confirms that Deuce has in fect left the group. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pantyshotz (talkcontribs) 15:17, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

The article previously described him as a "former member". There are no reliable sources cited in the article to support either the assertion that he is a current or a former member. If you find sources for either assertion, you may include it in the article.  Sandstein  21:00, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
HAHAHAHAHA ur just a damn pussy. Check out their website, click on the blog "Artist Direct", Johnny 3 Tears stated "Deuce chose to leave for personal matters". . . On Their official Facebook, Funny Man confirmed it. On Deuce's Official Myspace, it's in his latest blog that he left to work on a solo project. You need to calm down. --70.249.56.38 (talk) 06:59, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Deuce is no longer apart of Hollywood Undead. As of now, he is part of a new group called Ninelives.[1] --69.155.124.215 (talk) 19:10, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Yea and J3T also confirmed that Deuce left on his actual member page on the HU website. Unreleased Songs

I noticed that songs such as Circles, Christmas n Hollywood, Scene For Dummies, The Kids (Except the brief mention in the into) are NOT mentioned throughout the article. I plan on putting these up. Anyone got a problem with that? (No sarcasm or "diggs" intended, please tell me if you have)

Uh, you mean the songs no one has ever heard of?? Hmm, I wonder why.                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

For fuck sake. the reason I posted this in discussion, was so it could be discussed, not removed without warning. I'm putting the unreleased songs BACK UP. and I do not want it removed unless discussed first. I am a reasonable person, and if a descent reason for removal is uncovered, I will gladly remove it.

well...if we all try to find out wen they wer born then we can prolly do it. we already know ther real names and there obviously most famous for HU. wen u find out the birthdates type them here-------->

Birthdates won't be enough. In order for them to have a proper article, it would require a lot of information which we don't have.

okay.. well deuce had his own article.. its on and off some days he has one and some days its just..gone. But he had one and instead of thinking of the things we DONT know about them, think about how much we DO know of them. Born in raised in LA, famous for HU, we know their real names, their discography is already on the HU wikipedia so that will be easy, some of them are just known for their singing(funny man,J3T,Danny) so we dont really have to know as much as u think we do.. we could atleast try... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.201.62 (talk) 22:14, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Political Message

Why does every other band that has a political message in some of it's songs have a section for political messages, but Hollywood Undead doesn't?                     ~Rayvn  06:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Either one hasn't been written, or such content was removed from the article because it did not satisfy the policy to have Reliable Sources for the information. If you can find an article or other WP:RS that refers to the band as Nu metal, then it can be added. This is a much easier route than getting everyone to agree on what is meant by a given musical subgenre, and whether or not a band falls under that definition. -Verdatum (talk) 19:18, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Just because you do a song featuring someone, doesn't mean you're associated with them. Same goes for if someone features you in their song. Danny was originally the vocalist for Lorene Drive, meaning the band is associated with them. The Catalyst (talk) 01:39, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

okay.. i did not know that but for another example the new rock band my darkest days has only done one song with ludacris and zakk wylde and chad kroegoer but all of them appear of their associated acts.. just sayin.. i think jeffree star should be on there, and also not just deuce but 9lives too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.201.62 (talk) 22:02, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

My Darkest Days probably is associated with those acts in some other way. I don't listen to them, so I'm not too sure. And like I said before, once Deuce gets a page, he will be added to the list. And 9Lives is more of a gang/group of friends, and even though most of them are musicians, the whole group does not qualify as a musical act. And I know Jeffree Star should be added to the list because he was/is friends with them, but Wikipedia is very strict about sources, so I'm going to need a link to prove it.The Catalyst (talk) 01:39, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

My darkest days has only released one album and they only have one song with all those muscicians, and what do you need a link to? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.201.62 (talk) 21:29, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Associated Act

It's Secret Empire not Silent Empire under associated acts, it's Johnny 3 Tear's Brother's Band — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.80.64.183 (talk) 18:05, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
