Lockwood Folly edit

The Wiki articles states: "Benjamin Holden in 1756 bought four mainland tracts and the island between his plantation and the ocean. This island extended from Lockwood's Folly Inlet west six miles to Bacon Inlet. Benjamin and his sons used the island for fishing and cattle grazing... John Holden, Benjamin's grandson, started a commercial fishery on the island and in 1924 surveyed a section which he called Holden Beach Resort..."

This is impossible - John Holden cannot be Benjamin Holden's grandson of 1924, as per the way this is written. There must be several generations of Holdens in between..1756-1924 ?? Engr105th 06:54, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

History edit

Section could use a great deal of improvement. Section suggests entire island was bought and built up by the Holden family, ignoring the other families who were imperative to the growth of the island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.129.213.59 (talk) 19:30, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
