Channel Islands

One problem with having all Channel Islands fortifications in a single article is that many of the structures have the same names, in each island, i.e. MP1, Ho1, etc.

I would suggest creating a Hohlgangsanlage tunnels, Guernsey article, which could always be merged at a later date, if that is seen as the best way. Also, if all Channel Islands fortifications were described in detail in one article, I think it would become too long, as long as a book.

Some of the structures must have their own article, because they are notable buildings in their own right, e.g. a museum, and have location co-ordinates which can be used on Google maps, and so on.

I agree it the page might be too long including all in the whole channel islands, someone needs to make a Guernsey page with the same sort of template which is one this page i.e. the list, postwar use and infobox (Fdsdh1 (talk) 17:46, 13 June 2012 (UTC))

Name

I think Hohlgangsanlage, Jersey may be a better name. I think Hohlgangsanlage translates to something like Facility Caverns, so no need for the word tunnels (caverns) because its there in Hohlgangsanlage. The meaning of Hohlgangsanlage could go in the lead section. Need to check the translation for sure, first. Danrok (talk) 02:25, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
