History added to 19th and 20th centuries edit

Since these sections were sparse, I added a significant amount of material. One item, which is supported by material published by an early Chief Engineer, brings the date of origin of the department of 1884 into deep question. I know that that date was taken from a since deleted history of the department on the departmental webpage, but the source material I'm using is pretty definitive and much closer to the date in question, so I've also corrected the header section. catseyes (talk) 23:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Additions through WWI are up. This is going to take a few days. catseyes (talk) 02:13, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Corrections to 21st century edit

I'm trying to respect the material by earlier contributors, but there are a few things that are misleading, so I'm going to try to edit them in ways that make them more accurate while retaining the spirit of the material. For instance, in the section on Kenneth Ellerbe, it claims that Ellerbe was a childhood friend of Gray. Gray was approximately 18 years old when Ellerbe was born (Gray was born in 1942 and Ellerbe was born in 1960), so I'm going to edit that to family friend. catseyes (talk) 23:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Roll of Honor edit

There's a new version of the Roll of Honor, but the only one I see posted online is the version from 2006. catseyes (talk) 03:47, 28 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
