  • Patna is stated to have various like Pataligram, Pataliputra, Palibothra, Kusumpur, Pushpapura, Azimabad, Bankipore and the present day Patna.

Can somebody tell what time in history the name Pushpapura for Patna had been in use?. Please give ancient or mediaeval reference which verify the ancient use of Pushpapura for Patana.

The first sentence clasim that this city is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world that is hardly likely since it was founded in the 5th c. BC. I can think of cities in egypt, Anatolia China that are A LOT older. Brosi 15:47, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
