Kingston or Bayside? edit

The City of Kingston website says Highett is in Kingston, and not Brayside. Does anyone have anything saying otherwise?Mikhael04 09:07, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

highett is in bayside and kingston bayside is south west of the railway line. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.235.90.4 (talk) 11:04, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

HIGHETT IS A SUBURB OF BAYSIDE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.22.42.246 (talk) 01:35, 24 August 2013 (UTC) If you check the following map: http://www.kingston.vic.gov.au/Files/Council_Wards_2008.pdf You can see that the land to the west of the Frankston rail line is not in the City Of Kingston. You can also find plenty of evidence that Bayside council control land to the west of the rail line such as: http://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/278BCE51BE3843B7AF1EEE5B373FF36E.htm — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luckydog429 (talkcontribs) 09:34, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Correct. Also, Highett is in the same boat as Cheltenham. Either side of the railway is a different council. In both cases, it's Kingston/Bayside. -- MSTR (Merry Christmas!) 09:38, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Football Club edit

The information on the Football Club is not useful for someone who is not familiar with the area, I.e. where is Turner Road, what is the Waves, what is a U/9. It needs to be fleshed out or removed, happy to flesh it out. The Waves could do with its own page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luckydog429 (talkcontribs) 00:39, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

If there are no references tying the football club down in this article, you may remove it by all means. With Waves having a seperate article, tread carefully, as I think it's notable having been there mysef, However, it will need reliable sources to corroborate notability ~ otherwise it will be merged into this article. Thanks -- MSTR (Merry Christmas!) 01:19, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Have made a change to try and improve the layout better explain the detail. Thoughts very welcome! If we are going to detail Sporting Clubs in Highett, perhaps the Archery and Fly Fishing should also get a mention. As for the Waves Leisure Center, it does not get mentioned here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Kingston Perhaps that is a better place to detail the Waves. Full of Ideas you are! :) yes, the City of Kingston article would be probably the best place to go, considering it actually needs more services listed on its article. Also, I've noticed that you may be having difficulties linking to an article, all you need to do if follow this: [[Article's name goes here]] . If you need anything, please ask. -- MSTR (Merry Christmas!) 07:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
