Atophi Fraternity

West Philadelphia High School was home to Atophi Fraternity or Alpha Tau Omega Phi (4 letters) founded on Nov. 2, 1988. This fraternity was a cery serious effort that created 2-3 University Chapters the first of which began at Temple University in fall 1990. TonyDphax (talk) 14:30, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Phi Sigma Chi

I'm looking for a reference that lists chapters of Phi Sigma Chi, which reportedly had chartered 117 chapters as the largest of the high school fraternities. I note that Trine University, formerly Tri-State University, in Angola, Indiana had a chapter called Phi Sigma Chi which was established in 1927. At the time, students who sought a Greek affiliation were thwarted because the school (until 1966) was not accredited. Hence, while the school had robust interest in Greek societies, these often had to remain local chapters or from small nationals that were not part of the NIC or NPC. References on the Trine University Wikipedia page explain this somewhat further. But it seems that the group that eventually became Sigma Phi Epsilon there may have its origins in the aforementioned high school fraternity even though this was a small college.
