List of premises edit

I removed this list of premises from the article because I think it's too much detail, and also (and mainly) because it's difficult to maintain. Something, somewhere along a street as long as this will change every week or so. Perhaps some things can be reinstated if they're notable features - I'm willing to be guided on this as I'm not really familiar with Lincoln.--A bit iffy 10:39, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Darkieboy236, who created the list, has asked me to reinstate the list because "Many of the building have historical significance, such as being related to Henry VIII and Dick Turpin, just to name two." Personally I think the historically significant ones should be reinstated, but not the non-significant ones. This is on the grounds that Wikipedia is not a directory. Does anyone have any further opinions on this?--A bit iffy 17:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Lincoln high street is in its entirty a recognised entity. it shoudl be taken as a hole. it is difficult to have some buildings listedn and not others. its the longest higt street in england. just having sone buidings would take away from this. its also on the cairo to carlisle road build by the romans and is an important part of linconl.

Number One, High Street edit

Number One, High Street is no longer the Riverside Cafe. I don't recall the name of the premesis now, but the cafe has been closed perhaps 8 months at least. I know this as I live 10-15 minutes away on foot, and pass by it nearly every time I go to the city centre. Please amend. 92.41.46.77 (talk) 00:30, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion edit

DragonofBatley copied this article into Lincoln City Centre and proposed deleting it. This article could be improved but there is no way it should be deleted or incorporated into what is no more than a stub. Esemgee (talk) 14:39, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
