Deletion precedent

Based on recent deletion of Cherokee HTTP Server Article, I would like to suggest this article to be deleted too.

I will undertake the responsibility for cleaning up the page and bringing it into conformity with Wikipedia guidelines. And please note that a real and known person is signing this statement, unlike the Anonymous complainer who has flagged this article for deletion.

I know the latest cool trend in Wikipedia is deleting "unworthy" or "frivolous" articles, but I didn't know that Wikipedia allowed anonymous cowards to do this. I thought you actually had to have a Wikipedia account to wield such power. Luke Seubert | Talk 12:55, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

The author has said "I know for a long time that vulnerabilities [exist in other web servers] . [One thing] that bothers me: the runtime of a CGI. A CGI process [under other web servers] can run forever. A single CGI script can DoS a webserver. A system administrator is needed to kill the script. And what about a client [or hacker] that keeps on guessing passwords for HTTP authentication? These kind of issues inspired me to create Hiawatha, with settings for maximum request sending time, maximum CGI run time, client banning, etc. Features that, in my opinion, every daemon should have."

Other users also can't seem to find a source for this quote, and I agree that it seems to contribute little to the article. Should this be removed? Yogibur (talk) 06:22, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
