I've hesitantly added a link to the "Other World" article. Unfortunately, that article is currently a stub that refers only to Irish narratives; at the moment my link seems a bit misleading. I'm hoping that will change as the Other World article matures. estmere 17:54, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The article needs a number of other revisions. The synopsis needs to be put into the narrative present. There are a number of small factual inaccuracies in the synopsis as it exists. A mention of the De Nugis and the two different versions of the tale there would be good. A word on the context -- court satire -- is needed. And references to Orderic Vitalis and Peter of Blois (and perhaps Harlequin) would be nice. I may get to all of these eventually, but if any Mapophiles happen along in the meantime, feel free....estmere 18:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Is there any evidence at all in Anglo-Saxon literature for King Herla? The stuff about Herla cyning is just a French etymologist's attempt to explain Harlequin, and as such, worthless as evidence of Herla. I'm not sure what the 'identification as Woden' is supposed to prove - in what context? By whom? The etymology section should deal first with Herla, then perhaps suggest herla cyning as a poss. origin for Harlequin, citing the original identification.
