@Daask: Please undo your move of Herkimer County Community College to Herkimer College. I appreciate your boldness and know that this move was done in good faith but the reason that you provided - "Official website seems to use short name exclusively" - is insufficient for that move. We need to look at other sources to see what name they use (and a cursory search shows that other sources use "Herkimer County Community College' which isn't surprising as the college still appears to exclusively offer associate degrees and certificates). Thanks! ElKevbo (talk) 12:41, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Casual survey of uses in fairly recent news articles:

I haven't verified when the college changed the name it is using. @ElKevbo: In deference to your request, I'm going to request the revert at WP:RM/TR, since this is a round robin scenario and I don't have adequate user rights. Daask (talk) 15:05, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much, Daask! I appreciate your quick and collegial response.
My (very brief and informal) survey of search results doesn't immediately convince me that "Herkimer College" is the WP:COMMONNAME. I don't know how recently the college made the change to their branding and I don't know how aggressive they have been with this change. I am also skeptical because unlike many other institutions that previously had "community college" in their name but have moved to just "college" this institution has not changed their curricular offerings i.e., many institutions in Florida changed from "community college" to "college" over the past decade as they have begun offering bachelor's degrees.
