Small citation edit

I'd like to make some small alterations around the steve allen area- it's bad english the article is about herb ellis and the speak about him in 3rd person, i'll take it out for now, but could somebody please tell me whether Ellis came on as a guest or as a regular part of the show so that we can edit it accordingly, secondly the article implies that Herb wrote for Emily when it was vice versa, i'm going to ammend this by changing him to her, thirdly although i've only heard one of his albums I think from that I can hear that he's no virtuoso and that should be taken out- perhaps i've only heard a weaker album but please discuss.--Mikeoman 09:08, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

For those who do not know edit

Herb Ellis was a major figure in Jazz for many years. There should be lots of Material on him in old Playboy Jazz poll and mags like downbeat. Please feel free to join in on the endeavor of giving this man his due. There may even be a hard back Biography on him somewhere.: Albion moonlight (talk) 11:43, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Note edit

Perhaps it should be mentioned in the Oscar Peterson Trio section that the original trio reunited for a series of shows at the Blue Note Cafe in New York in the early 1990s and that a couple of Grammy-winning albums were produced from them. Funnyrob (talk) 02:05, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Link to youtube? edit

One of my favorite guitar solos was Ellis on JD's Boogie Woogie. It's here:

It'd be nice if it could be included in the main article near the mention of Dorsey. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colbyhawkins (talkcontribs) 14:28, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
