Honorary canonry: this would not normally mean he gave up his parish in 1884. I have already corrected the date when Twells left the Waltham rectory. Thanks for pointing that out. The spelling of 'Tompson' is confirmed by death certificate, marriage certificate etc. (The misspelling was mine!). (Ajsinclair (talk) 10:47, 3 March 2012 (UTC))Reply
