Harmony singer? edit

Who sings the higher harmony? Presumably a double-track of Nelson singing with himself was beyond the capabilities of the 1961 recording studio? There seems to be a slight echo on both tracks. There are a couple of YT clips of a uncredited television performance (all of the band wearing chequered cowboy shirts, guessing it's The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet?) where James Burton is also miming (but plays no guitar solo), and I guess that was more for effect.
