- There's now a diagram, but still no sources, six and a half years after the tag was placed. All of this seems plausible, but without some sources it's totally unverifiable. The original author was still active for four years after the tag was placed, so apparently he either didn't care or couldn't find any. One possibility is to find a source and cut it down to what it says. A merger may be appropriate too. Felsic2 (talk) 20:09, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

- Here's a highly reliable source: Handbook of Firearms and Ballistics: Examining and Interpreting Forensic .... It contains only a short paragraph which simply describes it and says it's only used in .22 rimfire. All of the material here on lubrication seems too detailed for anyone but an expert, and without sources it's inappropriate. I suggest redirecting this page to Bullet#Design, and adding a sentence there summarizing the source. Felsic2 (talk) 17:14, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
