This article is a complate copy of the website at [1]; every single word is the same. There are no references - so for example Heathfield and Waldron has its own article which I have just finished writing. Hence how I came across this one ...

Closing date? edit

1965 or 1968?

1965 - But. The section from Polegate to Hailsham remained open until 1968. The track was actually still in place as far as Heathfield, and was worked as a long siding until a couple of weeks before the track was removed, some four months before the Polegate-Hailsham line was closed.
