Merge from Head strong (Linkin Park song) edit

The song in question is just a cover of this song, which isn't notable enough to get its own article. Even the Jimi Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower, which is by far more notable than the original Dylan version, doesn't have it's own article. Er, is there an actual reliable source that claims it Linkin Park actually covered the song? Perhaps it was an alternate version or early demo of the song by Trapt themselves. I tried looking on Google and cannot come up with anything that meets WP:RS. All I found were a bunch of videos where people claim the song was made by Linkin Park in their AMVs. --  ShadowJester07  ►Talk  22:29, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're probably actually right; this version, supposedly by Linkin Park, Chester is most definitely not singing; it's Trapt.
Sounds to me like another case of mistaken attribution, like the song "Legend of Zelda" is commonly attributed to SoaD, even though it was written and performed by the Rabbit Joint. The sad thing is, people have apparently gone to the trouble of creating fake live performances by cobbling together video clips.
What do you say, AfD it? Parsecboy (talk) 22:50, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've gone ahead and prod-ed this article. If someone removes it, it should and will be sent to AfD. Parsecboy (talk) 03:57, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sounds Good! --  ShadowJester07  ►Talk  04:31, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree, this article should be merged with the Trapt song's article. Unknown Dragon (talk)

Well, no. All evidence points to this being a case of mistaken attribution; i.e., it's actually Trapt singing the song live, and people erroneously thought it was Linkin Park. Parsecboy (talk) 12:00, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Seriously I don't care if this article gets deleted because there are enough sources that this version is just another version of Trapt. Also the voice of the singer from the second Headstrong version doesn't sound like Chester. Volkov talk 18:43, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I only found sources from YouTube: [1], although I still hasitate if it is really Chester's voice. Volkov talk 18:51, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, and all of the youtube videos appear to be using the same version, which is allegedly an early Trapt demo. If you have no objections, I'll go ahead and delete the page now, instead of waiting another 3 days for the prod to wear out. Parsecboy (talk) 19:33, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
There are also lyrics what contain the headlines Headstrong-Linkin Park. But if you wanna delete this article, then do it. Volkov talk 20:58, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you provide links to these lyrics? Parsecboy (talk) 21:02, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Here f.E. Volkov talk 09:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I also wonder how they could confuse Trapt with Linkin Park. Volkov talk 15:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

how was it released before it was recorded? edit

the subject really is my question the article says it was released in 2001 and recorded in 2002 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.106.132 (talk) 23:58, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The page was vandalized last month, and apparently no one caught it. Except for you, of course. Good job pointing that out. I just reverted the page to the correct version, which is March 2003, not 2001. Parsecboy (talk) 00:47, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why is this not Headstrong (Song)? edit

Headstrong (Song) is instead a song by Ashley Tilsdale, which is, instead, a much less notable song? Maybe I'm wrong there, but I think this song is more notable. Or at least that "Headstrong (Song)" should be a disambig. page. Anyone agree? Disagree?68.45.128.173 (talk) 17:45, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
