Gallows Frame talk page

A bit of tidying up is needed here. The Gallows Frame of this article is the same thing as the Winding tower, which also has other names:

"A winding tower also known as a headframe, poppet head or pit head is a construction from steel or concrete, built over a vertical mine shaft."

This entry and Winding Tower should be combined. The primary entry should be entitled Headframe, as the other terms all appear to be regional. 128.255.45.57 (talk) 14:59, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Merge with Winding Tower

I completly agree that both Gallow frame and Winding Tower should be merged but there is no consensus as to what the correct term should be. It's difficult to state that Gallows and Winding are regional and headframe is not without references.
