Very few people pronounce Harewood as 'Har-wood', infact after living in Wetherby for over twenty years, I have met nobobdy. I am removing this mention, please discuss if you wish to re-add, and if evidence could be found that it is pronounced as such by anybody, then a mention that it is one way of pronouncing it, then we could re-add after concensus. The Earl and the house are definitely pronounced Har-wood. See http://www.kcstudio.com/harewood.html and http://www.linguism.co.uk/language/the-oxford-bbc-guide-to-pronunciation for a couple of mentions. I'm going to replace the info in the article. PamD (talk) 23:51, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
