- The result of this discussion was merge.
I propose merging all of the existing Happy Valley articles together to form a single article about all six parks, Happy Valley (chain). Feel free to suggest titles for the merged article and whether you have any objections. Affected pages include:
Themeparkgc Talk 07:30, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
- Due to no objections I have created Happy Valley (amusement parks). Themeparkgc Talk 01:05, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry I haven't noticed the proposal until now. I've undone the merger because it is inappropriate. Each of the individual park is a separate topic and is better covered in its own article, just like each Disney resort has its own article, even though they all share the same brand name. -Zanhe (talk) 15:06, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
Great Social and Cultural Significance edit
In the 30 years that I've been going to China, it has moved from an impoverished, puritanical, Maoist Third World country, to a bourgeois "rising" Western oriented land. Happy Valley is a perfect symbol of it. It is the playground, also, of Beijing's new elite. It is as expensive as Disneyland, but that's in a country where rural peasants still earn a dollar a day. A potent symbol of everything right and wrong about the new China. Augment this site. Profhum (talk) 04:55, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
