To do list edit

We are wikipedia edit student group who are studying about wikipedia in Hanyang University,South Korea in this semester. Our gruop selected this article as although Hanok is traditional architecture of house, but there are not plenty of information about this article. There are some information about hanok in korean language yet, we found out it is not totally translated or improved in english language.

The first step is what we would do is translate all information from korean wikipedia about hanok. The second step is improve information about hanok via other reliable sources including textbook, journal, magazine etc. and then we have a plan to add more information about other inter-related article with hanok such as ondol

we will add more reference sources within few days after we found our library. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Byung do jung (talkcontribs) 04:22, 14 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I think there is one more Hanok village in Jeonju which you can add in preservation. Also, you may want to add some references of Hanok's character, especially its benefits.--Db9023 (talk) 09:22, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Preservation! edit

I searched some Hanok Village in South Korea. There are lots of Hanok village such as Jeonju Hanok village, Goseong Wanggok village and so on. These villages are beautiful so it is good to add on 'preservation' part. :)

Comments from the instructor edit

One of them most important thing you need to add to the article are references. Most of the article is unreferenced! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:22, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Nice Start edit

As the original edits were from fall 2013, I assume the class is no longer working on this article? The subject is very interesting, but the English is broken in a few places. I will try to make some grammatical / syntax changes, while attempting to maintain as much of the meaning as I can discern. 74.160.48.11 (talk) 17:44, 23 July 2014 (UTC)IanReply

The semester is over, class dismissed. I was going to delete the entirety of the edits, but if you can decipher the meaning, feel free to hack away. Blackguard 20:01, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

removed Myth section edit

I was cleaning up some bits of this article and removed the section Myth related to Hanok. Because there was so little in it, it kinda didn't make sense (to me), and it had no citations, I found it difficult to turn it into anything that seemed worth being in the article. I think this is a good topic for a section, so I have copied below what little there was, but I'm not able to write this section and don't think what was there was going to be useful to anyone.

Myth related to Hanok Seongjosin, Samshinhalmi (one who gives birth to women), Kitchen God etc. believed by people that there are different kinds of gods related to the house of each enrollment. This belief is shared with the religion of the Ainu.
