POV neutralization edit

I removed and/or tagged as "{ {fact}}"some of the worst POV terminology, such as positive buzzwords and claims of popularity (her party had popular support of 2-3% of population, a claim that she was "one of the most popular politicians in Norway" should have good references.

Also, "I think it stood in Dagbladet in somewhere in 1985" is not a source. Dagbladet is a tabloid newspaper, so it should be possible to check that

  • It was an actual poll, and not Dagbladet asking people to call in and tell what they think, allowing 100 people to call in, and call it a statistic.
  • It actually stood in the paper.

With that, I hope we can start thinking about removing the POV tag.

I believe you have been a bit too rigorous in your pruning of the article. I would like to see the bit about her colorful personality and the remark about "filling up the Storting" put back into i. We don't have to get all too sterile, and it is undisputed among people who lived in Norway when she was an active politician that she had that vivacious, "straight from the liver" quality about her. __meco 19:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
It would be good to have the thing about "filling up the Storting" in the article, yes. The problem is with the sources - wikipedia requires this statement to be refere in a credible source, for example somebody (credible) confirming that she said that in a newspaper. Otherwise, how can we be sure she actually said that? -- Heptor talk 11:56, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
When it comes to verifiability such stringent procedure as you invoke is confined to matters with "blp" concerns. In the case of this claimed quote, adding an in-text {{cn}}/{{fact}} would suffice, without removing the quote itself (at least not until a considerable time period has lapsed without someone coming up with the required citation). Unless of course you have probable suspicion that the quote is false. __meco 19:44, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK, you are right. I putting the quote back in with { {cn}}. -- Heptor talk 10:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

How old was she when she served on the Eastern Front? edit

I have no "axe" to grind here, but if she was born in June 1926 she would have been only 18 when the war ended. How old was she when she volunteered (?) for Red Cross service, and how long was she actually in the East?

Her most internationally controversial remark edit

Her remarks attacking Rabin only, in 2002 (with respect to the 1994 peace prize), created disgust and revulsion among numerous individuals in the United States and elsewhere, and directly led to the "revoke Arafat's prize" movement as a spontaneous response (not to mention that it caused many to question why a convicted Nazi collaborator was ever appointed to the Nobel peace prize committee in the first place).
