Talk:Hague–Visby Rules

Serious flaw edit

There is a serious technical flaw in this article. The article is named Hague-Visby Rules, yet the second sentence refers to the official name of the Hague-Visby Rules as “International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules of Law relating to Bills of Lading”, which is the name of the Hague Rules. This article should be renamed “The Hague Rules”. The article should discuss the Hague Rules and at some point explain that the Rules have been updated by the Visby Protocol (The Hague-Visby Rules). It should also be kept in mind that not all (most actually) of the members to the Hague Rules have adopted the Visby Protocol (among others the United States, France and Japan, all countries with a large merchant marine).

In short: The article about the Hague-Visby Rules is only a subchapter of the article about the Hague Rules.

And to follow on from this point, correct citations are needed for the bulk of this article.--118.210.94.139 (talk) 02:06, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
