Don't use discussion sections for articles as forums. Also the quality of the writing seems like it should be improved. Its always been an issue in keeping things neutral but that isn't the issue. The issue is that it talks about things from an insiders perspective assuming the audience knows about HTS which makes it harder for newcomers to use wiki as a source to understand or learn about HTS. I'm referring specific to assumptions that wiki readers know what rm -rf is (despite it being obvious to anyone with UNIX experience). There are other examples but its redundant to specific each one. -dtg

Assuming that the 'Disputes and Internal Problems' section talks about the December 2007 incident, then it's slightly missleading. It says "Critical Security's founder, in the wake of HTS's recent takedown, has proclaimed his independence from the site, and his intent to separate himself from the politics and controversy surrounding it". I'm not the founder of it, as far as I know Mcaster was the founder of the CS domain. Also I said "merging HTS and CS should be possible without merging the management of HTS and CS" (Incident writeup). Should also be noted that spiffomatic64 was not a founder. While he created the first non xec mission/level that does not qualify him as a founder. Zine?

I used to be something of a regular on HTS a fair while ago. The zine was fun, I just don't think it's around anymore, is it? That paragraph also refers to Hackbloc which did most definitely break off at some point. Userbase

The ref after the userbase info has a dead link tag, but the ref says that a log in is required. It should be changed to a source that doesn't require a log in, if one exists. I'm going to change it to say citation needed for now. LogicalFinance33 (talk) 21:13, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Speculation

Much of the posting on this wikipedia entry is vastly speculation, and unable to be verified because it is false. Dates are incorrect, as well as stated facts about the group. HackThisSite has not produced anything since 2008 and removed much of the more recent missions due to a lack of competent developers, or any developers at all. If you spend any time at all on their IRC server you will notice the majority are bots that just idle to give the appearance of large numbers. The lack of any real technical discussion would suggest that the new younger users are not familiar with what the main goal of the group was to begin with. There are many stories about HTS that extend from them being kicked out of Defcon, and supporting runaways at the founders house, illegal drug parties, and more. Of course everything I say could be shrugged off as speculation, but it derives from personal experience with living with some of the founders, and another group I was involved with HBX networks ran by Michael (Hairball) Wally, that had merged with HackThisSite shortly after its inception. There is a book being written at the moment that contains a lot of the truth behind groups like HackThisSite, and how people use chat rooms to intimidate and exploit the uneducated users.
