Fuel type edit

This German language article written from an anti nuclear perspective insinuates there's some weapons grade material involved. Is there? Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:55, 26 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

First there is the Uranium-233 produced with thorium fuel. https://www.france24.com/en/asia-pacific/20210912-why-china-is-developing-a-game-changing-thorium-fuelled-nuclear-reactor;
Second, the production of weapon-grade material from depleted uranium in pebble-bed reactors. Additionally, breeder reactors produce weapon-grade isotopes. https://web.archive.org/web/20100919215709/http://www.inesglobal.com/_Conferences/2007/Moscow/Moscow.htm --Wickey (talk) 17:40, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
