Metallicity was originally cited as an impossible 6.62 dex (i.e. over 4 million times the solar abundance). The value of 6.62 is a straight copy-and-paste from Table 2 in Allende Prieto, C.; et al. (June 2004). However, the same table lists the Sun's Fe/H as 7.55, rather than the usual 0.00 dex, which suggests HR 9038 has a metallicity of -0.93 dex (6.62-7.55). This can be corroborated by comparing HIP 171's Fe/H value in Table 2 (6.78) with its mention in the Fig. 7 caption as having Fe/H of approximately -0.8 (6.78-7.55=-0.77≃-0.8) and HIP 43587's values of 7.87 in Table 2 versus approximately +0.3 in Fig. 7 (7.87-7.55=0.32≃0.3).
