Was she launched in April or May 1865? [1] Bastie 10:51, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Article edit

Good start article. infobox needs fixed to current style. In-line citations are needed. An image always help an article out. If these issues are fixed it would be a B class article.--Oldwildbill 10:02, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The claim to be the first ironclad to carry 9 inch rifled guns seems wrong. Wasn't it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Prince_Albert_%281864%29 ?

Center of Gravity edit

As far as I understand it, raising the center of gravity makes a ship a less, not more stable gun platform. This article states the exact opposite. Loverevolutionary (talk) 18:58, 21 July 2010 (UTC) Raising centre of gravity surely worsens general stability in terms of seaworthyness, however raising centre of inertia/mass nearer to guns might just possibly minimise leverage/recoil caused by guns on firing JDNReply
