AIRCRAFT SECTION ERROR edit

Although the earlier Type 21 Frigates originally had a WASP embarked, HMS AVENGER, the last of them, was commissioned with a LYNX (Nicknamed Purdy, a character played by Joanna Lumley in TVs New Avengers). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.101.144.107 (talk) 09:23, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Exocet Attack edit

In the documentary "In the wake of HMS Sheffield" (part of the BBC Horizon program), the captain describes an exocet attack that was confused by a chaff cloud and dropped harmlessly into the ocean. Bombers were also part of the same attack, though they missed as well.

I've checked the edit history of this page, and the chaff thing was mentioned, but removed by @Ryan4314. Do you have a source for what actually happened? I'm not sure if the documentary is correct.

I've added citation needed to the claim for now. Yawkat (talk) 14:14, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
