I'll get to this shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:39, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • No DABs, external links OK
  • Images appropriately licensed
  • Clarify that she was the lead ship of her class in the lede
  • The Ile de Ré isn't near Brittany
  • Link battery, launched
  • Hyphenate fifty ship
  • Artois and the naval "other" ships
  • That's all I caught on the first read-through. I'll give another go once you've addressed these few issues.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:22, 23 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've corrected all the issues apart from the one relating to Île de Ré. Please could you clarify how I've suggested that it's near Brittany, I can't see it. Thanks, Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 14:33, 23 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • I've tweaked the wording in the lede a little and moved a couple links to their first appearance. Feel free to revert if you like.
  • Any info on why Nagle was absent from his command for so long? His prize money earnings must have been very high from all those ships that he captured.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:10, 27 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Have found no reason for his absence. Phillips, Wareham, and Winfield all simply note that it occurred and that Nagle was not present for much of 1794. I initially suspected parliamentary duties to be the cause but it doesn't seem that Nagle ever served in such. He might have been caught up finishing with HMS Active, his previous command, but that's a complete guess. Laughton's ODNB article on him doesn't mention it at all.
