Move page to real name? edit

Contrary to the claims in the lead it's well established (http://girlthatsmysong.com/gabi-wilson-the-girl-behind-h-e-r-vol-1/ https://genius.com/a/here-s-the-secret-identity-of-h-e-r-the-mysterious-singer-signed-to-rca-records http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/la-et-ms-her-mystery-20160921-snap-story.html) that this is Gabi Wilson. If not a move to her actual name, IMO this at least bears mention. JamesG5 (talk) 22:21, 15 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Is H.E.R blues influenced? edit

I hear so much blues influence in her music in addition to spoken word Dirke31 (talk) 11:59, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I added Quiet Storm to her edit

There is a viable article on this I’m just not sure how to cite. I’m still learning as a newbie how to do this Dirke31 (talk) 01:31, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Guitar? edit

Is she (her) a guitar virtuoso?

That is my impression, but the article and the talk page so far make no mention of this (the article lists guitar as an instrument).

If the answer is "yes", this is a fatal flaw of the article and should be remedied forthwith. ---Dagme (talk) 16:23, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

She certainly should be recognized as a guitarist. She just made the Rolling Stone's list of the top 250 guitarists of all time. Esjones (talk) 23:32, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

ANSWER -- Please fix the article edit

ANSWER: After looking at some videos, I determined that the answer to the above question is "YES" and not only that, she is a multi instrumental virtuoso and was a musical prodigy.

NONE of this is in the article. So the article rates a big fat F until it is revised. ---Dagme (talk) 17:29, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Age edit

Under the Early Career section it says she signed her first recording contract in 2014 at age 14, yet the box on the side says she was born in 1997, which would presumably add another two or three years to her age in 2014. 2601:89:C601:C3B0:18C4:7249:96C6:85EC (talk) 20:18, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

weird sentence edit

In the opening paragraph: Raised in California's San Francisco Bay Area, she was introduced to the public as an artist as a young child, covering Alicia Keys on piano on the Today Show,[2] before competing on Radio Disney's The Next BIG Thing when she was 12 years old.[6]

'as an artist as a young child' I feel like someone made a typo, perhaps the original author can re-edit before I touch it?

reveling her real name edit

In her personal page, she mentions wanting to keep her real name secretive to have the focus on the mystery of her identity and her music, so why are we listing her real name and isn't that going against her personal wishes she indicated in the interview? Shouldn't we remove it? Lmharding (talk) 08:13, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Because her real name was already publically known? We don't let people write their own Wikipedia pages. --Jayron32 13:53, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
