Talk:Grande Oriente do Brasil

Political involvement

edit

Looking at the Portuguese Wikipedia page it seems to say that the Freemasonry that the Grande Oriente do Brasil practices is a political one, both in the introduction and in the history. However the UGLE recognises the lodge which it wouldn't do if it was poltical. So there are three alternatives (1) the page (or my reading of it - particularly the introduction) is wrong, (2) the Groned Oriente changed between the nineteenth century and now or (3) it is involved in politics but there is a permissive attitude from the UGLE.
