History section

Many problems: Not only unreferenced but one-issue focused (politically motivated?); poorly written; somewhat off-topic and possibly not accurate. Only one other version of this article has a history section (the Hungarian one), which appears to cover the period when the city was part of Austria-Hungary. Also, the Russian version has a nice travel-book type description of the area. WQUlrich (talk) 00:17, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Good call on the history section. WWII bit (rewritten entirely and based on the source) is now back in, and I've deleted the rest. GregorB (talk) 23:04, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
