Goback 2.x was an amazing product. I tried installing Goback 3 and 4 on several Dell XP optiplexes over the last 2 years having to have to uninstall it due to blue screens. My Free fire ID is Hacking To Tg friend Uid 7617764937

On my multi-partition, multi-user Windows XP setup, "Fast user switching" could not be used with GoBack 3 or 4. When "fast user switching" was enabled--and used regularly--the GoBack history would become corrupted after a several weeks of operation; and thereafter, goback would abort any attempt to revert the drive--until the history was deleted and started clean. It took me a long time to discover that disabling "Fast user switching" stopped this corruption from happening. Now I am once again very happy with GoBack. 67.161.114.160 04:25, 12 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

“GoBack to Zeeeerooooo!” edit

In case of a hard drive problem, when GoBack is installed, you will have simply no way to connect the hard drive to a different machine and load the data from it; Windows will not recognize the partition.

Norton should have renamed the software to something more appropriate, such as “there is no going back”, or “we have the best way to block you from going back to your data, and we are good at it”, or “GoBack to Zeeeerooooo!”.

In case of a bad sector, or a problem while trying to disable GoBack, your data is simply gone!

Then you can take Symantec to court for locking your data and providing no other alternative to retrieve it in case of a problem; good luck with “GoBack” :-) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.205.240.95 (talk) 21:52, 5 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

also replaces the partition table with a single partition edit

I don't see how you can replace the partition table with a partition. The partition table is just a list of offsets. Maybe it repartitions such that there is a single partition on the drive in which other partitions reside?

This software is so horrible. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.179.217.154 (talk) 20:32, 11 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Alternatives to GoBack edit

If there are reasonable alternatives to the use of GoBack on Windows Single-PC-Systems, I would be happy to read about them here. I heard a colleague speaking about a program named "Second Chance", but I couldn't find out about ist. So finally, does somebody know about Software similar to GoBack? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.62.1.33 (talk) 16:13, 26 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Goback-logo.gif edit

Image:Goback-logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:18, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
