#1 or #4? edit

This article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_number-one_singles_from_the_2010s_(UK)#2011 says that it is the UK #1 single dated 22 May 2011, but this article says #4. has this article not been updated or is the #1's of 2011 Article wrong? calvin999 (talk) 17:50, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

CD single edit

The CD Single listed in the article is the one released in France, isn't it? Johnnyboytoy (talk) 03:36, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Move to Give Me Everything. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:34, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

– One of the best-selling singles of all time, vs. a barely notable 70s song that's been viewed less than 400 times all year,[1][2][3] vs. an even less-known song which doesn't even have an article. Seems like there's only one outcome. Unreal7 (talk) 20:32, 15 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Still recent, Give Me Everything (Magazine song) still exists, (Pitbull song) is still nothing but beneficial to readers. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:11, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
It would be beneficial if the other song had any notability or relevance, which it doesn't. Unreal7 (talk) 23:36, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose artist name doesn't hurt 76.120.162.73 (talk) 20:22, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Who said it hurt? The point is that it's unnecessary given how well-known it is. Unreal7 (talk) 23:36, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support - it's as if WP:CONCISE doesn't even exist to some people. Red Slash 03:34, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
    @Red Slash: WP:CONCISE doesn't come into it, because it's a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC issue. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 13:08, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Right, but primary topic is mind-numbingly obvious given pageviews and long-term significance (charting, etc.). The argument I was specifically referring to was "(Pitbull song) is still nothing but beneficial to readers"; I assumed (incorrectly?) that the claim to primary topic would already be conceded by any reasonable observer. Red Slash 22:09, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per WP:PRECISE, WP:TITLECHANGES, WP:NCM et al. Editors who say we should ignore should ignore rules can't also complain rules are being ignored. See here. What was the word I was looking for? Does it sound like Hippopotamus? Or something similar? --Richhoncho (talk) 01:23, 22 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support and consider deleting the dab page per WP:2DABS. The Pitbull song article got 16,000 views in the last 90 days; there's a clear primary topic here. –Chase (talk / contribs) 01:47, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support I tried researching the 1970s song a bit to try to gauge relative notability, but I couldn't get much info on it, other than the lyrics. It's not even clear what positions it charted at, in which countries. Hence I'll have to go with the nominator's assertion that the Pitbull song, which charted number 1 in many countries, is a primary topic, even taking recentism into acccount. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 13:08, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
It isn't a WP:TWODABS there are 3 songs. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:34, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
TWODABS says, "If there are two or three other topics, it is still possible to use a hatnote which lists the other topics explicitly." It also says "if this would require too much text ... then it is better to create a disambiguation page and refer only to that". I don't see it being an issue if we were to do something like this:
This article is about the Pitbull song. For the Magazine song, see Give Me Everything (Magazine song). For the Ben Christophers song, see Ben Christophers.
That is, of course, if we make the Pitbull song primary, which it should be. (The Magazine song doesn't appear to be notable and the other one doesn't even have an article.) –Chase (talk / contribs) 17:47, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. TWODABS applies here. -- Calidum 23:50, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per WP:TWODABS and WP:PTOPIC Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:40, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support and delete the dab page. Clear primary topic in a WP:TWODABS situation. The supposed third entry on the dab page wasn't even mentioned in the linked article.--Cúchullain t/c 16:30, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comment - it's been almost a month now and consensus is clear. Unreal7 (talk) 09:45, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
