The words quoted by RLS are not from Lecocq's opera (I have just been through the libretto carefully), but seem to be from an old French song from which Lecocq's librettists borrowed the title: see here. I have removed the quotation from the article on the Lecocq work. Tim riley talk 12:24, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
