HeavyDance cover edit

This song has been covered into a dance version; I know this because I've heard it, and it's pretty damn good.

The only thing is, it's really difficult to verify who made it. The common attribution is that it's by a group called "Heavydance", and initial observations seem to bear that out. However, other observations say that it was made by a band called "Group X" - but I don't think it's the same Group X that's in Wikipedia.

It seems that it *was* included on an album, HeavyDance Volume 2. (sources: http://www.findance.com/arvostelut/603/-heavydance-2 (note, site is in Finnish), http://www.last.fm/music/HeavyDance/Vol.+2 .) This seems to be the second of a series of HeavyDance compilations, the first simply being titled HeavyDance. (Source: http://www.last.fm/music/HeavyDance/HeavyDance ; notice the similar styles.)

Amazon.com says that the songs on the first CD are by "Group X" (source: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003V04KIO/ref=dm_sp_alb?ie=UTF8&qid=1289940498&sr=8-17 ; click the individual song links) and it says that the copyright is held by Sony Music Entertainment (Finland) Oy, so I'm inclined to think that's a different band from the one Wikipedia has. However, the name doesn't appear at all on the CD cover; the largest image of the HeavyDance cover that I was able to find is https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61FRxaD2tXL._SS500_.jpg , and as you can see, it only mentions the song titles - not who made them.

This version of the song is notable as it appears on the YTMND Soundtrack on Volume 11 (although it lists the artist as "Heavydance" - source: http://wiki.ytmnd.com/YTMND_Soundtrack ).

I think I might see if I can contact the label, Columbia, and see what they have on the matter. --TheSophera (talk) 20:56, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
