There is some confusion in this article between the father and the son. The son lived 1750 - 1795; the father until March 5, 1786. — RJH 18:27, 8 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Split/Confusing tags edit

When I was evaluating this to decide what to do about the split tag, I found it very confusing as to whether the article was refering to father or son. This is especially problematic after the paragraph where the son is first mentioned. I can see why the article ought to be split, but either it is split by someone who knows the subject any way or the ambiguity will need to be resolved before someone else can make a split.
