What was the point of creating this article? edit
Why not just leave this as part of Solstice? If you're going to create a separate article for this why not also create a new article for heliocentric view of the seasons? All these topics are related to the solstice and should remain as part of that article. How many people actually search for Geocentric view of the seasons that it needs to be a separate article? Not only that but someone who wants to find this article has to search for it directly because there is no link to it in the Solstice article? This makes no sense to me at all. - I exported this section from the solstice article because it's not specifically about solstices; it covers both solstices and equinoxes equally. If you don't think it should be its own article by itself, then wouldn't it more appropriately be a section in the article Season rather than Solstice? Mathew5000 (talk) 20:55, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- Also as to your question why not also create a new article for heliocentric view of the seasons, I think that would probably be a good idea, as was suggested in 2008 at Talk:Solstice#Some sections of this article must be placed in an external article. - Any enthusiasm for merging Geocentric view... and Heliocentric view... into Seasons? Thinking about our readers, searching for info about seasons, or ecliptic, or tilt of the earth, how do we get them to this info straightforwardly, without inundating them with wikilinks, or forcing them through some navigational hoops? Aren't there any sources? edit
I've looked a bit, and cannot find any sources to cite. Is this OR, extrapolation based on tables published elsewhere, a paraphrase of other sources, or what? (I'm no astronomy expert). --Lexein (talk) 04:43, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
