Image copyright problem with Image:Johnxxiii-color-tiara-sm.jpg edit

The image Image:Johnxxiii-color-tiara-sm.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Get rid of the nonsense about "hidden knuckle dusters!"? edit

As anyone knows, you do not do one set thing when you are defending yourself, the knuckle protrusion is likely just another potential way of causing harm, just like the point of the weapon, the edges, the pommel, the tsuba (cant remember the term for the equivalent on european swords :D).

Anyway, all this nonsense about it being wildly impractical, and likely used as some sort of stealthy surprise weapon, because hell the guy trying to kill you punching you is surprising..? It is just laughable. Cleaning it up would improve article in my opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.81.109.62 (talk) 03:43, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

File:Falconglove.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion edit

An image used in this article, File:Falconglove.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: All Wikipedia files with unknown copyright status

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Spare gauntlets for throwing down: special "throwing gauntlets" edit

  • Question: (I couldn't find the answer on the Internet. ) If Knight A throws down a gauntlet, and Knight B picks up the gauntlet, does Knight B hand the gauntlet back to Knight A before the fight? If Knight A threw away his gauntlet, he might be forced to fight without it. Or did knights carry spare ceremonial gauntlets for throwing down?Anthony717 (talk) 02:43, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
